Chincoteague Pony

The Chincoteague Pony originates from the wilds of Assateague Island near the coast of Virginia, USA.

Chincoteagues are considered a rare breed and must be level 25 or higher in order to unlock breeding, they are also limited to 5 live foals and 3 breeding clinic pulls each. They cannot be bought in the Foundation Store, but are available every day in the Hoofbeat Plains.

Chincoteague Ponies were introduced to Horse Fable as a fundraiser for the Beebe Ranch which was at risk of being purchased by developers. Exclusive Chincoteague Coins were sold in pairs of two for $5 USD through April 2023 and in total, the Horse Fable community was able to raise 2,655 USD to help save the Beebe Ranch! The ranch was eventually bought by the Museum of Chincoteague Island and the Misty of Chincoteague Foundation, and has been preserved for generations to come. While originally meant to be a one-time sale, Chincoteague Coins were brought back in May 2026 to celebrate the redone Chincoteague artwork by Thunder.

Chincoteague Coins each have 15 color points, 250 stat allocation, and pattern variations 1-6. These customs will also be created with a TB of 1 and +/- 6 BV per conformation trait.

Removed Genes: Silver (Z) and Grey (G) were in the Design Lab when Chincoteagues were originally released, but these genes were later removed from the Lab due to the fact that there are no documented cases of these genes being present in the real-life Chincoteague herd.
