Welcome to the Wiki!
Here you can read about everything and anything in the lands of Horse Fable that I have compiled over the years as a long time resident of Horse Fable.
You might notice things are in a bit of disarray right now. That’s because while I (Reed) take a well deserved break, I have enlisted the Horse Fable Wiki team to help re-organize my compiled documentation and notes to make it easier for you to read, and restoring some artwork that has been lost over the years. Horse Fable has changed quite a bit since it was first founded! For ongoing updates from the Wiki team, take a look at the next tab ‘HoFa Wiki Team’!
As a general note, it’s best you look for information here before running around town asking for help. The locals tend to appreciate those who try to find info themselves before asking questions. Don’t be surprised if they tell you to just “go ask Reed” or “check the wiki”, or hand you this thing called a “link to a page” and nothing else.
While the documentation is being updated, if you find any questions left unanswered by the Wiki, you can check out the Community forums or Discord chat!

Hello HoFa community!
We wanted to create this section on the main wiki page as there is a lot of change going on not just in the Wiki, but site wide. This is to help with any confusion or questions that may be coming up while updates are being implemented for common topics, questions, or even for pages that we have not had a chance to create yet. Plus, it helps overall for clarity and as a quick reference as needed – that is the hope, of course! Currently there are ongoing updates to all pages under the ‘Account’ section of the Wiki, with the intention to begin priortizing larger pages such as Training, Careers, Genetics, and more. Almost all pages have had broken images updated and/or removed.
We are also hoping to work on a system to communicate what pages are under review or completed as well to help with transparency. We are excited to revamp the Wiki for you and truly make it a place of knowledge that brings even more fun to the game and clears up common pain points and questions for everyone. Please note that both this section and several, if not almost all, wiki pages are being reviewed and updated.
Thank you all so much!
Sincerely,
The HoFa Wiki Team
Whether a long time player or new player, you may be wondering why:
– Some breeds have artwork styles different to others
– You are only able to adjust hairstyles in the Grooming station for certain horses/breeds
– When grading horses, why the generic base (or a totally different horse) populates once the graded breed is completed.
– Why certain broken tack layers may not be updated compared to others.
Horse Fable is currently transitioning to updated art. This is why you may see some breeds have different art styles. You can view a list of ongoing art updates for breeds here, as well as artwork in progress for completed campaigns. Alongside of art updates for breeds, all tack is currently in the process of being updated. You will see the new tack styles with newer breed art updates and newly released campaign breeds.
Currently, the generic art for all body types is underway. Once the generic bases are completed, any horse breed with older versions of artwork will be updated to the generic bases so that not only can new tack be used and displayed, but to bring consistency across the game’s artwork and alleviate any confusion that may come. This update ALSO allows all breeds to use the Grooming station and have access to all hairstyles. See below for a comparison of the updated artwork. So if a horse has not received updated artwork yet, it will be updated to the new generic bases based on body type until all breed re-dos are completed.

You can follow updates for the artwork in the News section on the website or in the ‘Announcements’ channel in the official Discord. When breed redos are underway, sometimes these updates will be in the general forums, other times they may be exclusive to the Premium Corner forum for those with upgraded accounts.
Read more about the transfer to generic art in the October 2025 News update and the results in the November 2025 update.
