Things to know:

  • Breeding to a stud or brood uses 20% energy from your horse.
  • Studs and broods cost bits or ingots. Be sure you have enough on hand to spend.
  • If you have a stud or brood up once it is successfully used tit will go on breeding cooldown.
  • Failed ingot breedings refund 100% of the ingot price. This means any failed breeding using ingots cost 0 to the person requesting the breeding and will give 0 to the person who owns the stud/brood.
  • Studs and broods do not use energy for breeding. This means if your horse is up for stud or brood you may still use 100% energy per day without worry they will lose energy due to outside breeding. Studs/Broods with 0% energy can still be requested and used as well.

Studs & Broods

Studs and broods may be offered for public or private breeding as a way to earn more income or find new horses to breed to.  Studs and broods can be put up for public use which means, you do not have to accept the breeding. Private studs and broods can also be used if you wish to be able to accept or reject which horses may breed with your horse.

Setting Studs/Broods

On your horses edit page in the bottom box “Brood Management” or “Stud Management” you may et a horse up for stud or brood. There are several options:

  • Putting up for stud/brood check box. This checks on or off your horse being up for stud or brood.
  • Private. Checking this makes the breeding private with you accepting or rejecting those who wish to breed to your horse.
  • Limit Breedings? This limits how many breeds are allowed if the horse is up for public breeding. After the set number of breedings, the horse is removed as a stud or brood.

Using a Stud or Brood

Breeding to a stud or brood requires:

  • Both horses are 3+ years old.
  • They both have 90% + health (We suggest grooming to reduce the breed standard variance to +/- 4)
  • Have at least 20% energy.

Players may offer studs and broods up for breedings at a cost. To breed to a stud or brood:

  1. Go to the stud or broods page.
  2. Click the heart tab below their image.
  3. Select from the drop-down the horse you wish to breed to the stud or brood.
  4. Click “Breed Foal”
  5. Wait for the breeding confirmation. Should the breeding fail, you may try again if your horse has 20% energy or more.
